Firework T-shirts


 These shirts are SO SIMPLE! I promise! I followed the directions I found here.

I made the shirt above but the kids made all of the other ones in this post. Our first batch we used just the permanent markers which we already had at home. For the shirt above we branched out to a rainbow pack of Sharpies. Warning this craft is ADDICTING!


Things I learned when we made the shirts are:

- It really does matter what brand your permanent markers are. Sharpies work best.
- This technique did not work well on just plain cotton fabric. (It might have to do with me not pre-washing the fabric, but I don't know)
- I didn't have a dropper, so I used a kid's medicine syringe (the free one's you get from the pharmacist)
- I also didn't have a shot glass, so I used a ice cream bowl to put the rubbing alcohol in (any small bowl would work).
